Jana Houghteling is an associate attorney at the Firm. She practices natural resources law, with a focus on water, environmental, and oil and gas law.
At the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, Ms. Houghteling completed her J.D. and earned a certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law. She competed as a member of Sturm’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition team and Jeffrey G. Miller National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition team. She also served as a staff editor for the University of Denver Water Law review.
During law school, Ms. Houghteling gained significant experience interning with in-house counsel at an oil and gas company. Before joining the firm, she worked with a boutique environmental firm, specializing in cleanup of highly contaminated sites, chemical accident response and prevention, and redevelopment of historically contaminated sites.
