Betsy has nearly seven years real estate appraisal and consulting experience with Kevin McCarty of McCarty Land & Water Valuation, Inc. (2019 to present), and Michael Nash of Nash-Johnson Associates, Inc. (2013-2019). She has nearly 15 years research and consulting experience in the public and private sectors on policy, economic, and real estate market trends related to land use and land use change as well as ecosystem services (i.e. carbon sequestration, endangered species banking, and water markets).
'she moved to Colorado over 12 years ago and attended the University of Colorado, Boulder receiving a Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in real estate, and a Masters of Science degree in Environmental Studies. Her interest in land use, land use change, and conservation of natural resources, including land and water, encouraged her to pursue and receive her Certified General Appraisal license in 2017. She currently lives in Lyons, Colorado with her family.
Betsy is a member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA; 2019 to present) and was formerly a member of the Appraisal Institute (AI; 2013-2018). She was a recipient of Colorado Chapter ASFMRA Membership Scholarship in 2019 and selected to participate in the 2019 ASFMRA Leadership Institute. She has extensive education and experience in rural, transitional, recreational, and natural resource properties. In addition to traditional real estate consultation and appraisals, she plans to incorporate her knowledge of ecosystem service opportunities to advise landowners on potential additional revenue streams on land.
